The New South Wales Southern Highlands have long been the home to a quieter lifestyle – a place to escape the heat and noise of nearby Sydney.
The blend of dramatic bluffs and rolling hills have welcomed artisan farmers and talented vignerons in the past 25 years. The cooler climate and slight altitude are the ideal climate for creating flavours and vistas to tempt you in winter. Come and explore the quiet corners and delicious flavours with GlobalWanderings ~ Highland Artisans Retreat in August 2017!
Savour the delights
We’ll venture off the beaten path and explore the places the locals know.
Your senses fill with each new sight, smell, and taste. Everywhere you look, beauty surrounds you, albeit a rugged bush beauty at times.
Feel your body relax in the country air… There is time… We’ll stroll through towns and visit the nearby hills as we discover the regional specialties, tasting local life.
Each day we’ll do an activity that will tempt you both as a photographer and a lover of fine foods. Importantly, though, you’ll still have free time to relax, enjoy the surroundings, and even chat more about photography.
The retreat will include your accommodation for four nights, ground transportation in the Highlands for the five days, our daily activities, and most meals.
What is not included is travel costs to reach the Highlands, insurance, shopping along the way, additional activities to the schedule, and any gratuities you might like to leave.
